In good news for Mi loyalists, the Mi TV’s shipped over the last couple of years account for as much as 2 million in India. Mi India has acknowledged the same with a new tweet.
“Mi fans, it’s been a little over 2 years and we have shipped a massive number of 4M Mi TVs in India. Thank you for your love and support. How many of you remember the launch date of our first Mi TV in India?” stated Mi India in an official tweet.
At this juncture, it is worth noting that Xiaomi’s Manu Kumar Jain has been publicly vocal about supporting the government’s initiative. This is evident through his newer tweets.
Jain has been supporting the essential people like the drivers, maids, delivery staff, and medical professionals, who have been striving to keep Covid-19 at bay. This is a noble gesture, as other head-honchos of other brands have seldom expressed their support for societal causes.
In related news, Xiaomi India had long ago stated that they would not be holding any physical launch events till the fight against Covid-19 ends. This means that all near future events of Mi India would be online-only, not physically on-ground.
